Swimming Teachers (Level 2)
Swimming teachers qualified to level 2 are needed across London and the South East of England. As a Swimming Teacher you will be responsible for the development and organisation of classes and to assist in the supervision, operation and control of customers within your designated coaching area.

You will take responsibility for the smooth daily operations of the class to maximise usage and income and to achieve customer service delivery objectives, in accordance to the policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- To ensure the efficient and effective operation of your sessions, to be responsible for equipment set up and take down in accordance with health and safety and the centres operational procedures.
- To undertake your sessions according to the programme timetable. Being responsible for ensuring classes commence and finish at the designated times.
- To be responsible for undertaking all administrative tasks associated with the position. Including lesson plans schemes of work and class registers.
- To support primary and secondary schools teachers to deliver an effective lesson during school booking times, as appropriate
- To prepare lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work that meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and ASA National Plan for teachers
- Contribution to programme development through knowledge of customer needs current trends in leisure and introduction of national governing body teaching plans.
- To establish and maintain good relationships with our customers, ensuring that an appropriate ambience is maintained in the facility making customers feel welcomed and valued, with due regard for the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy and Customer service standards.
- To ensure that the centre is secure and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and repair
- To ensure the safety and welfare of staff and users of the centre through the operation of all Health and Safety procedures and standards and be aware of your role in managing emergencies, accident reporting and report defects as necessary
- Assist customers with regard to lost property, first aid, use of equipment and provide general information regarding the centre. Deal with complaints in a sensitive manner.
Knowledge & Specific Requirements
- ASA / NARS Full Teachers Certification level 2
- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience of customer care
- Excellent oral, numerical and written skills
- Required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays with flexibility of location
- Responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements
