In partnership with Short breaks children with disabilities social work team, Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre have created with the help parents and carers an opportunity to provide and implement group swimming lessons for the young people with special learning requirements

Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre has currently reviewed the way they offer lessons to groups with learning needs and hope that this will create a more accessible pathway in to life-long learning skills. Swimming is an important life skill for all ages and abilities

The Swim management team at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre recognised that they were able to provide a more structured approach in what they could offer as a Leisure center and to educate parents and children with the necessary swimming lesson experience.

The facilities making them easily accessible to the London boroughs, bringing schools and community’s together creating a positive approach to future development.

This will be offered within the new January swimming lesson term programme. “We are very excited about the swimmers journeys through our programme, which we will monitor and update the success.” Says Claire Taylor  Head Teacher and Swimming Coordinator.
