Update on redevelopments

Here you will find an update on the renovation progress with the refurbishment of Camberwell Leisure Centre.

When Southwark Council first set out to make improvements at Camberwell Leisure Centre it was always envisaged that the programme would be phased to match the funding that was available at the time.

The good news is that we have now managed to secure extra funding, meaning that we can make additional improvements now whilst the builders are on site.  This is more cost-effective and less disruptive than returning to do the work at a later date.

The nearest swimming pool, gym and studio are at Peckham Pulse Healthy Living Centre. 

For customers with a Camberwell / Lifestyle Membership you can use the other local centres within the borough.

Peckham Pulse Healthy Living Centre
Seven Islands Leisure Centre
Surrey Docks Watersports Centre

We apologise for any inconvenience the decision may cause to extend the centre closure than initially envisaged, however this is the least disruptive way of securing the long-term future of Camberwell Leisure Centre.
