Dulwich Leisure Centre has served the local community since 25 June 1892. Exactly 119 years later to the day the new 100 workout station gym was reopened to complete the £6.2 million refurbishment programme and beautifully restored the building's Victorian features to their former glory.

In addition to the new gym (a third larger than before) the dry-changing rooms have been relocated and rebuilt, which follows on from the two studios, a refurbished 25 metre pool, wet-changing rooms, new reception, café and crèche which opened in September 2010.

One point of particular note is that access for people with mobility and visual difficulties has been significantly improved across the site. From the moment you arrive, step free access, lowered counters, dedicated accessible changing and clear signage all contribute to a centre that is now inclusive to all.
