UK record broken at Camberwell!
Liv Phillip, our FANS member for freediving, broke her dynamic no fins record at Camberwell Leisure Centre on Saturday 5th November. She impressively swam 116 metres under water on one breath and with no fins, beating her record by 4 metres.
Over 40 members of the local community were there to cheer her on, and she didn't disappoint with this amazing achievement.
Liv uses Camberwell Leisure Centre as part of the FANS Scheme. FANS (Free access for national sportspeople) enables elite athletes, who currently compete or perform at a national level of a Sport England recognised sport, to use all the Fusion leisure centres in Southwark for free. The aim is to help them improve their performance and is part of our Olympic legacy programme.
