An investment of £250,000 at Seven Island Leisure Centre
It is with great pleasure to announce an investment of £250,000 to modernise Seven Islands Leisure Centre’s gym area that will commence Wednesday 17 March and will take two weeks for full completion.
To accomplish this timescale and with reduce disruption to yourself and other members the gym will temporarily close for the works to be carried out.
During the closure you will still be able to use any of our other Southwark leisure centres. However, your closest centre is Surrey Docks Watersports Centre which is approximately 8 minutes walk from Seven Islands Leisure Centre. This centre recently received an investment of £2.39m transforming it into a remarkable centre.
On Thursday 1 April, your brand new gym will be reopened and ready for use for the Easter weekend. The improvements you will notice will be fresh new flooring, new design layout and the latest gym equipment from Matrix installed. This investment will help to secure the long future of Seven Islands Leisure Centre for the community to use.
