Southwark Mini Marathon trials 2010

If you’re aged between 11 and 17 and looking for a challenge, the 2010 Virgin Mini London Marathon is your chance to compete against the best new talent in British road running in the UK’s premier road race for young people.

Southwark Community Sport Team are looking for athletes aged from 11 to 17 (age on race day) to compete in the Southwark team for the Virgin Mini London marathon on Sunday April 25 2010.

The Virgin Mini London Marathon course is 3 miles long, running from London’s Old Billingsgate to The Mall (the last 3 miles of the official London Marathon course).

Previous winners of the Mini London Marathon include Mo Farah and Stephanie Twell, competitors from the Beijing Olympics, and Paralympians Shelly Woods and David Weir.

Trials for the Southwark team for the 2010 Virgin Mini London Marathon and Mini Wheelchair Marathon will take place in early 2010 – watch this space for more details of how to enter. Anyone who has competed previously or who has expressed an interest in the event will receive trial information by mid January.
