National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification Courses are nationally recognised and are offered at this centre. You must be able to swim 50 metres in under 1 minute and have a desire to want to hold this qualification.

Being a lifeguard is more than just about watching a swimming pool and rescuing people if they drown. It also involves thinking ahead, being friendly and approachable and helping people with worries or questions.

The NPLQ teaches you all about every aspect of a lifeguards duties along with CPR and some first aid skills as well. It also looks at the Health and Safety aspect  of the job and why that is so important.
