Phase 2 of the £12.6m redevelopment of Leatherhead Leisure Centre is now complete. On the weekend of 12 and 13 June the whole family are invited to celebrate the official opening of a range of exciting new facilities.

There will be lots of free activities to enjoy over the course of the weekend. These include LeRoc dancing, Pilates and street dance classes and much more. Kids can have fun on the bouncy castle and Kiddi Karts. Furthermore, if you sign up to become a member during the weekend you won’t be charged an admin fee. This will save you £20.

There are a number of exciting new facilities to explore. These include a ground floor reception area, a ground floor café bar with a Starbucks coffee shop, a meeting room, first floor male and female gym changing rooms and sauna, steam and therapy rooms.

Councillor Northcott, Chairman of the Council, is looking forward to the celebration: “We are all extremely pleased with the progress of the project so far, and the open weekend is a great way to celebrate this. Residents of all ages can get a good look at the fantastic new facilities now available to them, while enjoying a fun-packed weekend.”

The free activities will run from 9am - 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The timetable of events and sessions is as follows:

Cake cutting with Mole Valley District Council: 10.00-11.00
Krank Cycles: 11.00-12.00
Junior gym sessions: 12.00-13.00
Martial arts demo: 12.30-13.30
Blue Beat dance demo/taster: 13.00 – 14.00
Pilates: 14.00-15.30
LeRoc dancing  free demo: 15-15.30

Sunday
