Swimming is a healthy activity that can be enjoyed by everyone. It's an excellent and relaxing way to exercise as the water supports the body, so less stress is placed on joints and bones.

We offer various levels of swimming at our centres:

  • School Swimming
  • 1-2-1 Swimming Lessons

 Session descriptions:

50+

Swimming sessions exclusively for those aged 50 years and over.

Adult Swim School (ASL)

Swim School session for adults only.

Aqua aerobics

Aerobics in the pool. Using the benefit of waters natural support, you can work as hard as you want. A great all over workout.

Aqua jog

Water based aerobics session in deep water to add a resistance based workout as well. Participants must be confident in deep water.

Club use

Private session for local swimming clubs.

Disability swim

Available to customers of all ages and abilities. Full access to facilities is provided and normal pool admission policy applies.

Family swim

Swim session for parents with children age 8 and under only.

RATIOS: Children under 8 is 2:1

Fun session

Fun sessions offering a lively, energetic and exciting atmosphere with floats and rafts. RATIOS: Children under 4 is 1:1 and four to seven is on a 2:1 basis. 

General swim

Open area of the pool where you can enjoy more freedom to paddle, bathe or swim lengths. RATIOS: Children under 8 is 2:1. 

Lane swim

For those who wish to swim lengths only. Open to any age.

Private hire

Book the pool for your own private use during this session. Call the centre for more details.

School Swim

Local schools attending the centre for swimming lessons.

Pool admission policy

An adult of 16 years or over, who is also a competent swimmer must accompany children under the age of eight. Children under four must be supervised in the water on a 1:1 basis and children aged four to seven on a 1:2 basis for Fun & Floats. For all other sessions the ratio is 1:2 under 8’s.

Dress code

Only swimmers wearing costumes/trunks may enter the pool. Cut down shorts, jeans, shorts worn below the knee or T-shirts should not be worn in the pool. Please do not use snorkels, masks, hand paddles or flippers unless agreed by management prior to swim.
