Mighty Bean Cafe opens at the Weald Sports Centre
The Mighty Bean, run by Michael Smith (33) has opened at the Weald Sports Centre. With the focus on healthy choices, Michael explains his food philosophy: "When you buy a sandwich, jacket potato or Panini you can have as much free salad as we can fit inside it - and we boast that our coffee is the best in the world....err weald!!"
Michael is also something of a local character, known as Mickey Blue Eyes he's made regular appearances locally performing swing songs and telling the occasional joke or two.
His career is now frothing with delicious lattes, cappuccino, mocha, Americano and a super duper 100% all milk hot chocolate. Combined with a selection of cheeky cakes and cookies Michael aims to offer a choice of goodies to tempt visitors after they've worked up an appetite in the pool, gym, playing badminton - or just catching up with friends after an exercise class.
The cafe even has a free wi-fi connection for parents and friends who want to catch up with their emails. And if you’re lucky, Mickey Blue Eyes might even sing you a song.
