As part of the London Borough of Hounslow´s Outdoor Gym programme, Ad-lib training will be running Physical Activity Peer Activator training for volunteers at Heston Village Hall on 23rd October 2017.
The aim of the training is to enable volunteers to induct and safely supervise exercise and activity sessions (For example: Walking, Outdoor Gym or Indoor Circuits). The volunteers will also be able to support behaviour change via (M.I style) conversation based interventions to help people adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle. You will receive a certificate at the end of the training session.
If you are passionate about your local community and willing to spend your time promoting activity at your local outdoor gym this is for you. We welcome community groups and residents to attend.
Training is being coordinated by Fusion Lifestyle. Please register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (please copy and paste into a blank email).
Please include the following:
o your name
o your postcode
o your contact details
We'll then send you a form to complete and return.
Please note: Volunteer training spaces are limited and registration of interest does not guarantee space on the training course. After the training you will be required to do a set amount of hours at your local outdoor gym. We will contact you with further details if space becomes available.
