Following repair work and complete resurfacing of the pools, Braintree Swimming & Fitness Centre will officially reopen its doors over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July to showcase the newly refurbished pools to the public.
Over the weekend, guests at the centre will be given the chance to dip a toe or more in the water in both the main pool and the children´s leisure water pool, as part of the pirate themed open days, but also to try canoeing, have a swim lesson assessment, have their faces painted, watch a lifeguard display, win prizes, try water polo or take part in a fun pool session.
You can see all sessions we have planned by clicking on this link
Booking for sessions will open 7 days before the event, so you'll be able to secure your slot in advance.
The centre has a fitness suite full of state of the art equipment, as well as a new group exercise studio. You´ll also find a 25m competition pool, complete with spectator seating and a learner pool, that gently slopes like a beach, complete with pirate slide and interactive water equipment - so there really is something for everyone.
Alex Green, Contract Manager at Fusion Lifestyle, commented: `We know that the pool closure at Braintree Swimming & Fitness inconvenienced our customers while the unavoidable work was carried out. The pools have had a great response since they reopened and we hope that as many people as possible will be able to join us for our open weekend when we want to thank everyone for their patience and show them the great facilities.´
