The Sports and Community Development Team is dedicated to increasing participation in sport within the London Borough of Hounslow.
The team works with local stakeholders including schools and sports clubs to increase participation in physical activity and sport within the London Borough of Hounslow.
Working with these partners we organise teams for The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games and Virgin Mini London Marathon as well as running our own Urban Games. Read on for more information.

Balfour Beatty London Youth Games
Each year, over 20,000 young Londoners take part in the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games, in over 25 different sports. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent your borough in the largest sporting event in Europe... Applications for 2010's event will be available March 2010.

Virgin London Mini Marathon
The Mini Marathon is a 5km race that takes place over the last 5km of the actual London Marathon course, finishing in The Mall only minutes before the elite runners begin to come through to finish.

The Urban Games
The Urban Games is a free multi-sports event held in Redlees Park for children ages 8 – 15ys. The event will not run in 2009. Read all about last year's event here.

Healthy Lifestyles Scheme
Fusion Lifestyle is working in partnership with Hounslow PCT and local GP’s to develop, deliver and fund the Healthy Lifestyles programme which provides a range of services to local residents including exercise referral. The scheme offers clients chance to improve their health and lifestyle through a 16 week programme of exercise, nutrition and advice under the guidance of experienced healthy lifestyle instructors.
