Elephant and Castle Leisure Centre

Following a collection of public exhibitions and consultations, Southwark Council have formulated some exciting plans for this centre including a complete rebuild to incorporate a proposed six lane 25m swimming pool, a teaching pool, a four court (badminton) sports hall, a new state of the art gym and indoor cycle studio, two exercise class/dance studios, a crèche and a café.
While the new centre will provide first choice sport and fitness facilities for everyone in the community to enjoy, it has of course meant that the centre has closed entirely during the extensive and exciting redevelopment work.
It is anticipated by Southwark Council that the centre will reopen in early 2015.
