To mark the start of the new season, Hinksey Pool – the City’s only outdoor swimming pool – re-opens on Saturday 1 May with free entry all day.

Water features, sports areas, sun lounger and deck-chair and the café will be open too.

Early dippers will be celebrating the first outdoor swim of the season at 9.00 am on Saturday morning and the pool will be open until 7pm.

As well as swimming, visitors can take a break from the water and lounge in a deck-chair or play ball in the sports areas, and the café will be open serving hot and cold snacks.  

If you plan to be a regular visitor this summer Hinksey Season Slice cards run right through the summer season to September and if you buy one in April there’s a 10 per cent discount. 

Hinksey Season Slice cards are available now at Barton Pool, Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre, Blackbird Leys Pool, Ferry Sports Centre, Oxford Ice Rink and Temple Cowley Pools and Fitness Centre.

Along with all Oxford City Council run swimming pools, Hinksey Pool is offering free swimming to all under 17’s and over 60’s.
