Fusion Lifestyle, the UK's leadingindependent sport and leisure charity and the London Borough of Hounslow are kick-starting an investment programme to improve three Hounslow leisure centresby inviting the public to view the proposed plans. As the UK's leadingleisure charity Fusion Lifestyle is known for breathing new life into localpools and fitness centres.
Marking the start the programme, the proposed works will significantly improve and modernise the pool and changing facilities at local leisure facilities across the borough. Leisure centres setto be significantly improved include New Chiswick Pool, Hanworth Air Park Leisure Centre and Isleworth Leisure Centre.
Hanworth Air Park Leisure Centre isset to have a major makeover with plans showcasing a much anticipated splash pad, new starter blocks for competitive swimming, a new tiled surroundand a new surface and pool lane markings in the main pool. The flume will befully refurbished, while the Flume Pool will become a learner pool with increased capacity for swimming lessons. The pool hall will be redecorated with special non-slip flooring added in the balcony area. The changing rooms will be completely redecorated and the floors and shower areas will be refurbished.
Isleworth Leisure Centre is another'flagship' project. The Lagoon pool will have special viewing glass so parents, carers and guardians can watch their children's swimming lessons from theon-site café; these windows will be specially made to include blinds so thatprivacy can be added to any private or specially arranged swimming poolbookings. The Lagoon Pool ceiling will be redecorated with new lights added, the main pool will have new starter blocks for competitive swimming, a newtiled surround, and a new surface and pool lane markings, the boom between themain pool and the teaching pool will be renovated and refurbished and thechanging room floors and ceilings will be completely refurbished by specialist contractors.
Finally, at New Chiswick Pool, thepool hall ceiling and high level structures will be redecorated with the window frames being refurbished. The pool will have new surface finish and pool lane markings, the pool surround and benching will be tiled and the changing room floors and ceilings will be completely refurbished by specialist contractors.
The improvement plans will be on display at the effected centres from week commencing 18th September for aperiod of two weeks. During this time, members of the public can view thedrawings and provide their feedback on the proposed changes.
