Success for Team Hounslow at London Youth Games Finals 7th & 8th July

The London Youth Games is Europe's largest annual youth sporting event where youngsters from 33 London Boroughs compete against each other in over 30 different sports at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

In the run up to the event, Fusion's sports development team work closely with local schools and clubs in the Borough to promote the London Youth Games across Hounslow. Traditionally, Hounslow have offered open trials in a variety of sports followed by 6-8 weeks of free training using local club coaches to ensure that every child in the borough has the opportunity to take part.

At the Finals event at Crystal Palace over the weekend of 7th and 8th July, Hounslow finished 28th overall this year, with 698 points. 

Hounslow entered a totalof 27 teams taking part in various sports with 500 youngsters taking part inthe trials and training sessions and over 300 participants competing at the main event. Hounslow secured medals in the following sports; judo, archery, athletics, para athletics and swimming.
