Get Fit and Take a Dip!

The City Dip is the City of London's annual sponsored swim which raises money for The Lord Mayor´s Appeal. Anyone can join in - past supporters include City residents, City businesses, sports clubs, schools, livery companies, to name but a few. All you have to do is complete as many lengths as possible within the times of the session you choose. Adults may swim up to 5,000 metres and children may swim up to 1,000 metres. Entrants can swim as individuals or as part of a team of up to six people ). Every swimmer will receive a commemorative City Dip certificate and medal. The aim of the event is to get fit, have fun and raise money through sponsorship for charity. The net proceeds will go to The Lord Mayor´s Appeal

The next City Dip will take place across two days on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June at Golden Lane Sport & Fitness near Barbican in the heart of the City.

Each year City residents, City businesses, sports clubs, schools and livery companies enter this fun event to raise money for the Lord Mayor´s Appeal. The City Dip is a well established event that is now on its 26th year. Whether taking on the challenge as an individual or part of a team of up to six people (one swimmer in the water at any time) all you or your team has to do is complete as much as you can of a 5,000m swim within the time slot chosen. All the money raised by the sponsored swimmers will go to the Lord Mayor´s Appeal 2016 supporting the work of JDRF and Sea Cadets.

Entry fees are:

20 for an individual60 for a team 8 for a child (under the age of 16)
