Stoptober, Smokefree City and Hackey

Smokefree City and Hackey is your local NHS service to aid in stopping smoking, and there is no better time to do this than Stoptober! Public Health England states that over 6 million adults in England still smoke, and a nationwide survey of 2,000 smokers found that 45% found that they were smoking more since the first lockdown in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Stoptober is back for its 10th campaign and is a 28-day challenge to help you give up smoking in a gradual and controlled way. Smokefree City & Hackney run telephone and email support, along with advice sessions so that you feel supported and guided in your journey to quitting.

To self-refer for smoking cessation treatment, complete the form here, or email smokefree.cityandhackney@nhs.net. Also, alongside our exercise on referral programme, our instructors are able to offer those who smoke advice on how to quit, offer support and can help with referral to specialist services.
