Fusion Lifestyle is delighted to announce the completion of significant upgrades to the indoor pool at the Dartmouth Leisure Centre in Wessex Way. This work demonstrates our commitment to an on-going plan of environmental upgrades and its long-term aim to minimise any negative environmental impacts on our business.
Dartmouth and District Indoor Pool Trust were able to contribute towards the cost with financial support from the South Hams Environmental Fund.
The investment from both parties means that the work, which includes new Indoor plant room filters which will improve the water quality and give the water a brighter, sparkling effect.
The upgrade will also have a positive environmental impact, as less water will be used through the new purifying process, which means not having to reheat the water. The new more efficient filtering systems will also optimise the purity of the water by using a significant reduction of chemicals.
Allan Smith Chair of Trustees from Dartmouth and District Indoor Pool Trust said:
"We are delighted that the newly refurbished pool filtration system, which is now up and running, will make a real difference to swimmers in Dartmouth, at the same time as having a significant impact on the environment, which is particularly important to us".
Peter King, Business Manager at Fusion Lifestyle, said: "The changes we have made to the Dartmouth pool reflect the on-going investment we will continue to make, to ensure we offer the best possible facilities for the enjoyment of our members and visitors"
