Could low-impact classes be for you?

Low-impact classes are a great way to get started with group exercise, there's less chance of injury and joint-related issues, less recovery time and they are also great for improving mobility, flexibility and cardiovascular health.

Some people also find low-impact classes beneficial for their mental well-being, as they can be great for relieving stress, increasing positive moods and helping you to sleep better.

Aerobics

A combination of high and low impact exercises that provide a great cardio workout to maximise fat burn.

Aqua Aerobics

An aerobic workout in the pool without traumatic impact on the joints. Results include increased muscular tone, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.

Aqua Zumba®

Splash your way into shape with an invigorating low-impact aquatic exercise. Known as the Zumba® "pool party", the Aqua Zumba programme gives new meaning to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba® blends it all together into a workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

BODYBALANCE™

BODYBALANCE™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. 

Float Fit

Floatfit® includes a 30 minute HIIT workout including burpees, lunges, squats, aqua climbers, v-sits.... all on water! This low impact, cross-training class gives you a fun full-body workout! Or a 30 minute Yoga class working on balance, core stability and flexibility. Incorporating isometric exercises like v-sits and plyometric exercises like burpees and stretching.

Pilates

A body conditioning class offering toning techniques that target the deep muscles supporting the spine and major joints. 

PiYo

A combination class of Pilates and Yoga.

Power Walking

Stretch and Tone

This class focuses on improving stability, mobility, flexibility and muscle tone.

Tai Chi

Bring together the mind and body using this Chinese form of slow meditative physical exercise designed to enhance feelings of inner strength and calm.

Yoga

Incorporates systematic exercises and self-developed techniques for body, mind and spirit focussing on core conditioning, mobility and flexibility.

Hatha Yoga

Create balance in your body and mind by focusing on strength, flexibility and breathing.  Open classes for all levels and ages, providing yoga posture exercises with periods of stillness and relaxation. 

Iyenga Yoga

A form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayama). The development of strength, mobility and stability is gained through the asanas.

Kundalini Yoga

Focus on the awakening of Kundalini through meditation, pranayama breathing, the practice of asana and chanting of mantras

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is associated with meditative practices helping you become more aware of your body's posture, alignment and patterns of movement.  It makes the body more flexible and aids relaxation.

Vinyasa Yoga

It denotes a flowing, dynamic form of yoga, connected to breathe or pranayama in which yoga and mudra transitions are embodied as linkages within and between asana.

Zumba® Gold

The easy-to-follow programme lets you move to the beat at your own speed. It's an invigorating, community-oriented dance-fitness class that feels fresh, and most of all, exhilarating! Zumba Gold® classes provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults.
