Fusion Lifestyle and South Hams District Council are pleased to announce that a new programme of health and fitness focussed Youth Nights will start on Friday14th January 2022 at the Dartmouth Leisure Centre in Wessex Way and will continue on the second Friday of each month.
The programme, in partnership with the new Dartmouth Youth Group, aims to support young people to make a healthy lifestyle shift and engage with sports and physical activity.
The first two Friday sessions on 14th and 28th January will be held in the sports hall, after which the pool and gym will also be made available. Friday 14th January offers a fun-packed Roller Disco session for year 7 and 8 children from 7pm-8pm, then from 8pm - 9pm for years 9, 10 and 11. From 11th February, the sports hall will offer a range of interactive games from 7pm-9pm for all 11-16-year-olds.
The Youth Nights programme is free for the first two sessions and will then cost £2.50 for each session. There is no need to book for the first 2 sessions - children can just turn up, but a parental consent form will need to be signed.

Cllr Jonathan Hawkins from South Hams District Council said - "We know how important it is for both the mental and physical health of young people that they are able to engage in sport and fitness activities. We are delighted support this important initiative with our partners Fusion Lifestyle. We have also contributed £1,000 from our Devon County Council locality budget fund so these essential dates are now back on the calendar. We look forward to welcoming everyone in January 2022."
